Mr. Phillips previously managed his own consulting firm, The Phillips Company, which he founded in 1997. Prior to forming Koza Partners, Mr. Phillips had previously collaborated with John Koza on numerous capital placement assignments and several consulting assignments.
Mr. Phillips has over 40 years of experience in the institutional real estate investment field. He has assisted in raising over $3 billion of capital.
His expertise includes acquisitions, asset management, capital raising, client relations, information systems, leasing, marketing, mortgage banking, property management, sales and research.
Prior to forming The Phillips Company, Mr. Phillips was Managing Director for Marketing and Client Relations at Copley Real Estate Advisors from 1983 to 1996. He was previously associated with Property Capital Trust, Cabot, Cabot & Forbes and The Rouse Company
Education
Mr. Phillips is a graduate of Allegheny College and received his MBA in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Phillips is a Registered Representative with Koza Partners, Inc., an FINRA Broker/Dealer.
During his career Mr. Phillips has been a member of The Mortgage Bankers Association of America, Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), Real Estate Board, Society of Industrial Realtors and the Urban Land Institute.
Professional Affiliations
Mr. Phillips is a trustee of Allegheny College, where he served as Chairman of the Investment Committee. He is also a trustee of Burr and Burton Academy. Mr. Phillips serves on the Advisory Board of TalentDrive, a resume sourcing service company headquartered in Chicago.
